    1. Press CTRL+ALT+F12 to enter AMD Catalyst Control Center (or press ALT+F2 if you can’t find it)


    • Select Display on your Screen.

    1. Change the following settings:
    • ‘Desktop Management’: Allows scaling of your desktop (so, you can use 2×1 resolutions, etc.)
    • ‘Enable GPU Scaling’: Allows GPU scaling (should be checked by default; this will allow windows to scale down your resolution when in windows mode). You can also check ‘Enable Automatic Resolution’.
    • ‘GPU Scaling Mode’: This is an interesting bit. There are 4 options: ‘By display’, where windows will tell your monitor to change its resolution; this only works if you have more than one monitor connected. ‘Off’, obviously, turns it off. I haven’t tested the others, but I think the best would be ‘By application’ or something.
    • Save changes, then go to Display > Set up multiple displays


    • Toggle the GPU Scaling option to On. The screen will temporarily go black when GPU Scaling is enabled.

    NOTE: You can also adjust scaling settings in Display > Screen resolution, but if you are having problems with it not working, try doing this. The best option I have found is to choose an 800×600 native resolution for my second monitor, so all the resolutions will be available to me at their original sizes (no interpolation) and I can choose which ones to use depending on whether I’m in windows or in the actual game.
